After gaining more information about the suspect environmental record of plastic stone crab traps, we have decided to discontinue selling the plastic traps.
We are now designing a trap made primarily from wood, which will not only be better for the environment (if lost they will degrade naturally), it will be a fun project to build by oneself, or with your kids!
Please email us if you believe wooden traps are a good alternative to plastic stone crab traps.
Our kits are for the sport fisherman who doesn't have the time to run around finding all the various components required make a stone crab trap and get it ready for fishing (buoys, line, weight, funnel, etc.).
We do this as a hobby and do not have a brick and mortar storefront for pick-up.
